I had a good play with it today and yesterday and first of all this is a fantastic song and is worth getting right so......
Well done Hardlock 8)
I did various takes and really like the feel of this short duet version...
I think I have nailed the Chorus but need more work on the verses
If you want to work on it some more I am happy to help althou' I do think there are many more capable singers out there..........
If you want me rip out my vox I need technical help
Or I could post the Br file on Sky Drive so you can do the techie stuff......

Here's Tony's mix, mixed with xicpanad's vocals from the other thread with a little of my leads at the end.

I really like where this is now but since I didn't have the vocals or Tony's leads on separate tracks, the vocals are getting more and more buried since the backing tracks got doubled when I mixed the two.

I'm going to post this over on the other collab. thread as well.  I should probably write a turtorial on collaborations as well.  There is lots of great talent here that really needs to be shown off at it's greatest potential.  ;D

Sounds Great with proper Vocals Well Done Guys 8)

Thanks Mike!  Don't think I'm done with your vox however.  Still seeing how I can put it to good use.

That's what's nice about having the separate part tracks to play with.  Can cut/paste different pieces here and there which can't be done easily with a complete mix to work with.

i am amazed how this has gone.
the inspiration is the origional concept.
the vocals & lyric writing are way beyond me.
i just get stuck for words sometimes when i hear the tallent that can be found here.

Thanks everyone!  The more I hear the song, the more I like it!

I'm trying to use mastering effects to compress the backing so the vocals and Tonys parts come through better, maybe even the bass some.

Tony, your parts fit perfect so if you still have your separate tracks for the kby and guitar, feel free to email them to me just in mp3 format and I'll remix them so they stand out more.

Or, if you want to re-record your parts over xicpanad's vocal mix:

..that could work as well but seems like a lot of extra work to ask for however....  :-[

Just got a chance to finally listen to the most recent version of this. I'm really impressed with what precipitated from all of your efforts. Hats off to all talent involved.
