Here's a Southern Rocker called Catch A Random Tear. The lyric is about expectations of being a strong man, showing no weaknesses. I'm playing and singing it all. The drums are from a Zoom MRT3 machine. It was recorded on my Fostex VF160. I wanted to create a song where I could use several different guitars in it. The main electric rhythm and solo is my Tele Thinline with humbuckers and the other two harmony guitars are a Tele Standard and Les Paul. The blended combination makes a nice, full Southern Rock sound with some Allman Brother's influence. One thing you might find of interest: I did two takes, on separate tracks, of the ending lead guitar solo. The solo wasn't completely worked out with most of it just jamming but I did have a few key riff parts worked out that I was relying on to give the solo a bit of interest. When I was mixing and had decided on which track to use I accidentally forgot to mute the other so I let it play and finished the mix. As I  listened back I was surprised, because this was essentially a jam, at  how well the two parts fit together. So I went with the "dual lead" happy accident which is really in line with this Southern Rock genre anyway. I hope you like it!

Yep - that's a rocker alright, lol. Love the whole vibe and production on this. Really nicely done, and the bass playing is killer. I also really dug those vocal harmonies - and the guitar ones! Very Allman Brothers. Superb work.
