OK guys, here is something interesting. This is the Beatles classic, Helter Skelter, recorded by me live with just guitar and vocals. A single take, with a fuzzed-out guitar and some attempted rock vocals gives it, at least I think, a deep sort of sound. The guitar is tuned down to DADGAD, for anyone wondering (mixing Beatles and Led Zep) and that contributes really nicely to the heavyness of the recording. At least that is what I have experienced, please tell me what you all think.

We recorded this on the micro BR with a sm57 close to the amp and a röde nt3 for the song. I had heard Mattias (I'm his father) mess around with Helter Skelter in DADGAD on acoustic but asked him to do it electric. This was the third or fourth take, the one with nothing held back.  Don't miss the detuning in the end.

There is a big difference when listening to small computer speakers, like I just did. It is meant to be played loud on big speakers, or a headset, so that you feel the guitar. I wish I knew how to get that effect on smaller speaker.

It has been tucked away for awhile and I mixed it without Mattias and urged him to post it. I liked it because it has a boldness. Please give it a try, loud.

Gritter

It is bold and very heavy. Big and angry....a raw and passionate performance.

Greeny

Oh yes. TASTY! This is a good song to experiment with, and you've done a mighty fine job. That's a really raunchy tone you've put down. Love the feedback parts!

ODH

It's a trip.  Good crunch on the guitar and easy laid back vocal.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. A few days ago I got a message from 64guitars, he wasn't able to put the track on the LitLR playlist. He told me that I should upload to something else than SoundCloud, so here it is on Songcrafters.
