Had a bit of a session before tea tonight, struggled with getting a decent mix while recording live... but here goes. Also note it finishes early as the wife not only walked in, but was having a good nose at the lyrics while I was attempting to play/sing... I have left the moment in...
However, you will get the jist I hope
Song written in 1984

Lyrics:
I played a game of life in vain
I knew I'd never win
I'd plot a graph through the bottom of a glass
Refraction of what I'd seen

I gave all I had to my guitar and pad
Not guessing where it would lead
A deep thinking boy, just playing with the toy...of life
To glory indeed

To life I would grin, between the tumble and the spin
To programme was never my aim
I'd just sit around and watch the ball rebound
Well they said that life's a game

A chosen child astray and wild
Brought home to be with you
Such amazing love from a stranger above
His son died for you

Kind of a funny ending. Yeah I liked the vocals and the guitar. I think they work well together and you've got a nice song. Looks like it was a long time in the making of this recording. Glad you did, though.

Great live performing and a fabulous tune, Andy! Agree with T.C.; fine combination between your voice and guitar. Nice tones as well! Very nice listening!

(I listened several times the last second of this and I thought I heard a word "Kiitos". That means "thank you" in Finnish :)   )

Hi guys

thanks for the kind comments, Karl I was in Helsinki for 5 months last year..never seen snow or temperatures like it! But she wasn't saying kiitos, Mrs C was explaining her curiosity in interupting me as she heard 'twiddly bits' (aka usually solos) which she likes!?

Say hi to Finland, I was at Elisa
Cheers
Andy

TPB

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

WOW!!! I like this a lot!!!  Your voice is fantastic and the singing
and picking have so much emotion and feel.  You gotta go back and
finish this one!!!

I loved it... all of it... even when the Missus walked in. I've also got a recording where my lovely other half interupted... picked up my Kick Drum mic and started talking into it. The man cave rules are non existent at my house.
