A song I wrote and first recorded in the late 80's.  My first foray into the LITR and not my usual modus operandum

Overdrive - Distortion - Hyperactivity
Yesterdays shatter, tomorrows don't matter

Epic song, Nick! Well written; I liked the variabilities in this song! Melodic vocal and guitar parts, aggressive solo, silent spots. Nice job!

Yes, it is a very warm performance indeed. The solo in the middle really caught me by surprise!!
There are some really lovely quite chords at the end of this song!!!

There's more than a bit of Syd Barrett on those vocals and inventive chord changes. Very much like his solo stuff (I'm thinking 'Baby Lemonade'...). I have to say that I frigging LOVE your playing on this. So many different techniques and styles. And what a solo! How you even dared to do this live is incredible.

This is an awesome piece of work.

Thanks all.

I have to say when I listen back to it I cringe at all the bum notes and clunky changes.  I find this one-take live stuff puts me into a kind of blind panic.

I don't know much about him, I must admit.  I'm concious of a lot of Zeppelin (any similarities to Rock Anthems living or dead are coincidental, by and large ;)) and I was going after a Robert Fripp King Crimson feel in the quiet section.

I agree with the Syd Barrett comparison. Great psychedelic performance!

Balls out doing this live. I hear a mix of influences that cover the spectrum, but come together really nicely. If this were full instrumentation, it would be utterly mind blowing. I'd need some alternate medication to truly appreciate it in it's entirety!

I should get off my @rse and do it.

Here's the original recording, which goes back to the wee small hours of 1989.  Back then I had very limited access to recording equipment, so when I got use of a mate's home studio, I made sure I made full use of all his effects.

This is like you fell in the fondu and met the meaning of life.

Can you post the lyrics?
