Had to post this even though not quite happy with the leads (are we ever?).

Interesting note about this tune is that it started with the drum track I made for Glenn's great song - Let Go of the Wheel (v2).

It was my 1st time on the skins for 2 decades and after a little tweeking, added this tune to the track.  See what you think!  I'm actually kind of fond of it.  ::)

Time for a Road Trip (c) 2011 Ken J Hill
--------------------------------------------
   Time for a road trip
   Just got to get away
   Will help our friendship
   Back on the highway

   Time for a road trip
   Just got to get away
Back on the highway - today
--------------------------------------------
Let's get out there in the breeze
Join me now we'll cruise with ease

Too long since we've hit the road
Pack your bags it's time to load

Doesn't matter where we go
Just be sure it's with the flow

Time to roll don't ask me why
Do not stop to say goodbye
-------
Make some friends along the way
Can't stay home this sunny day

Adventure now has just begun
Time for us to have some fun

Ken,

You keep improving with age. Like this song. I just bought another MBR on ebay. Sold my first one don,t know why. Are those paintings done by your son? I sure like the art work.

Tom your guitar Guru.

Thanks much Neil!

Hey Tom!  Good to hear from you!  Thanks for the good words!  Been finally using those lessons you turned me on to.  Great stuff!  This song's done on the BR-600 so I can have stereo mics for the drums.  Now that you found Songcrafters and will have a MBR again, hope to hear some tunes from you! :D   Maybe collabs also?  As to all the art, that's just pulled from the internet using my song title in the Google. ;D

This one grabbed me straight away. It has such a loose, funky vibe, but powers along very forcefully. Makes me want to go on a road trip too, lol. Outstanding guitar licks and tone. You should be very happy with the lead work - I bloody would be! lol. Such a great listen. I applaud you!
