Is it Monday again already?!  :D

I had a choice of two new ones to post, but I'll go with this one today, lol.

Telecaster, Hofner Verythin, bass & vocals - all done on the good old MBR. No acoustic guitar for a change.

Lyrics:

'Lo-Fi Fo Fum'  - by Greeny, September 2011

Pull me up for dropping my h's
It's just the calling card of certain places
The mill-ponds where i used to skim stones
How did i get so far away from home?

And i don't mind the rain
It's just the paratroops of misery
In uniforms of grey

Lo-fi fo fum
I'm just a low-rent Englishman
Lo-fi fo fum
I'm just a low-rent Englishman

These manners give me away
And every word i say

I point my knife and fork at the ceiling
The little things that are so revealing
The dive bars and the Laundromats
Are the sort of places that you'll find me at

And i don't mind the rain
It's just the paratroops of misery
In uniforms of grey

Lo-fi fo fum
I'm just a low-rent Englishman
Lo-fi fo fum
I'm just a low-rent Englishman

This is wonderful Tim. Great songwriting as usual. A great melody and great lyrics, that kept me googling for a while (not beeing an Englishman :D )

I just love it when the bass comes in. The bass is just fab on this one !!

Ah ...  Oh.... Ahhhhh...

All is right with the world.  When are we going on tour?

Did you know that the deep sea nuke subs used to listen for the Today program on Radio 4 (that's the wireless for those of you who are not familiar with it) to decide if Armageddon was about to fall upon us. Now they use Green Mondays.

Sublime Tim.

BTW folks - Here is one of Tim's that you may have missed....

Another classic - with a fabulous guest bassist....

Just popped in and saw this post. Don't have much time to be here at present but what a pleasure to  hear the ringing guitars, wonderful vox and sublime lyrics of a new Greeny song. Love the arrangement but as always love the lyrical content and imagery. You are Kevin Ayers meets Roy Harper with a completely unique twist of originality.

Made me think I ought to do a follow up about me - "middle class smart-arse" might work....

Cheers,

Nigel

Another little gem Tim, love the guitar sound...............Willie

Great to hear another Tim Greeny classic.
Those lyrics are up with the best of yours, and love that subtle bass.
