Thinking about songs to do for the LitLR fest I looked back at albums that had influenced me musically. One album that I have played to bits is "Watch" by Manfred Mann's Earth Band. The songs there are not really well suited for a single voice and a guitar, but that made the challenge so much more tempting ;D

This is feeble attempt at Martha's Madman. One of 7 favourites I have on "Watch"

I was a bit of a Manfred Mann fan too.  I had Solar Fire and Watch on vinyl - probably still got them somewhere.

Really enjoyed this Geir.

I've just spent an hour watching MM vids on Youtube.  See what you've done?  :)

Marvelous!

Excellent!

I've got "Watch" on vinyl too, as well as "The Roaring Silence" and "Nightingales & Bombers" on cassette (I love their cover of Springsteen's "Spirits in the Night").

I saw that TOTP too, ended up in a long discussion with the Missus about how it was the same bloke who did Do-Wa-Diddy.  She didn't believe me; had to get Wikipedia invovled.

Likewise, don't know the original but really enjoyed your version, Geir

I thought I'd commented on this already, lol.

Don't know the original, but I do know that nobody but you could pull off such a killer delivery. Such energy and intensity. And that's a superb quality recording. Quite incredible!

Glenn Mitchell

I particularly love the guitar and vocal intensity on this one. You nailed it Geir.
