BR-80 eBand Song List Editor

I was wondering has anyone successfully exported an eBand USER song using the Song List Editor?
I have tried every combination of rename/protect on-off/new card/format card/reset I can think of but I always get "Failed to Export"

Methinks it's a bug!!

Incidentally, I have imported and exported WAV and mp3 no problem.
When importing a WAV it is converted to an eBand? whereas an mp3 remains an mp3.

Yeah, it's annoying alright.
Workaround for now is to use wav import in MTR mode.
Then either Master it and drag the file out of the folder OR export using BRWC.

But importing into in MTR does take an age  ::)

How about everyone else? Do we have a bug??

Heard back from Roland UK.
They get the same "Failed to Export" results and have forwarded it to Roland Japan.

Japan have confirmed that the "Failed To Export" error is indeed a bug and they are working to resolve the issue.

Workaround:

Import the song recorded in eBand mode, to an arbitrary track(s) in MTR mode.
Save the imported data as WAV format file to MAC/PC, by using BR Wave Converter.

Apparently, Roland Japan has known about this problem since at least July 6th when they posted an apology on their site:

Nice find.  ;) They could have told us!
I wonder if that's what this dead link to an addendum was about?

Can anyone understand that? It reads like a few manuals I have to do with LED lights.
A DMX desk we had was returned because the manual was impossible to make sense of,
I still have a lazer which I haven't worked out, again the translation makes no sense.
I must say that Roland did a reasonable job of the MRB manual, most of it anyway,
but if weren't for you people I would have struggled and probably given up.
Sweet young thing aint sweet no more.

It's just an automated translation done with Google's software, so I wouldn't expect it to be very accurate. The original Japanese page is here:

Here's another translation of the same page via Yahoo!'s Babel Fish translator:

I like the line that says "We put annoyance in the customer, very much there is no excuse."  It almost sounds like a company slogan. :D
