Thanks, Geir, Neil.

I always considered Johnny Winter to be an all-around wizard on guitar. Lead, slide, rhythm, he kicks butt on it all. Look up this album: Johnny Winter And
Rare to find an album where every song on it is excellent. Add it to your collection.

Thank you, Mark.

I love that high energy stuff, although I never got into the heavy metal style of music.

I also gave a pass to punk rock. It didn't take long to figure out what punk rock consisted of.
At the most basic level, music consists of four parameters: melody, rhythm, pitch and timing.

Punk rock songs deliberately violated at least one, and sometimes more, of those parameters.

To me, that was like buying a racehorse then training it to limp.

Anyone remember Mrs Miller?
She was a pleasant lady who became famous (spell that RICH) as an opera vocalist.
There was just one catch. Every song she sang was perfect, except she was always wandering off
pitch. Sometimes sharp, sometimes noticeably flat. She did it so well. Perfect timing, though.

Mrs Miller and Frank Zappa are the artists I remember best for violating musical standards and
making the results great fun to listen to.

She really was unique! Very, very weird! It's quite an experience if anyone hasn't heard of her, lol. Mind your ears...  :D :D :D

Man, I am going to be late for my own funeral.
Spent too much time playing and not enough keeping up with things here.

Fishinstix, thank you for listening. Johnny winter is one of the top two guitarists in the known Universe, IMO.
I've never heard him play or record even a mediocre song. Every album he did is excellent.

If you can find his music, scoop it up. Worth it.
