A fun slice of Americana with a little Beatles influence. Credits: All me, except featuring my son-inlaw, Jeremy, on dobro.
Livin' Dangerously

Do you know the definition of the word integrity?

It means doing the right thing when no one else can see

Well I've lived my life by this simple principle

But lately I find myself breaking all the rules

So, I'm gonna be a jaywalker A real close talker Livin' dangerously

I'm gonna be a sidewalk spitter Toss a little litter Livin' dangerously

You'd think someone like me who was raised up good and proper

Wouldn't want to stir the pot or throw out any show stoppers

But I've been catchin' myself thinking these bad thoughts

My mind begins to wander makin' devious plots

So, I'm gonna be a jaywalker A real close talker Livin' dangerously

I'm gonna be a sidewalk spitter Toss a little litter Livin' dangerously

I'm gonna be a late sleeper A pork rind eater Livin' dangerously

I'm gonna be a social blunder Steal all the thunder Livin' dangerously

Without integrity

Yee haa!!

Marvelous stuff Farrell.  I'm not a huge country fan but this really is special.  Such clarity in the recording and brilliant arrangement.

Oh - and a magic song.

Thanks Reg, Rata-tat-tat, Hook, and Paul! I'm glad you've found something appealing and interesting in my song!

Reg, the best compliment a songwriter can get about one of his songs is "it's not going to leave my head for a week".  Thanks! I hope it doesn't drive you mad........
