LitLR - Charlie and Me (solo acoustic DADGAD noodle)
seagull acoustic (DADGAD tuning), thumbpick, BR-80
Not much time for recording lately, especially since getting our little Lab puppy.  One thing that was good in all this  is that I have been spending lots of time playing my acoustic while watching the dog out on the back deck.  I have been playing around with DADGAD tuning and am finally getting to grips with it.  Also I finally got cosy with a thumb pick, tried before, but this time it is feeling more natural, which gives a nice solid bass sound to those lower strings.  So this dog and I have been spending a lot of time together and this song is the result.  The dogs name is Charlie.  In LitLR spirit I recorded this in Live-rec mode on my BR-80, in one go.  I tried to do a few more takes, but each time I kept screwing up, so the first take is the keeper, warts and all.  I may keep tinkering with this tune, add some lyrics maybe someday, practice a bunch more so I can play it more smoothly.......but for now, for LitLR, here is Charlie and Me.

I was expecting a Dave and Charlie duet and all I got was a Charlie (or was it Dave) noodle - fine noodle - but where's the trodden on dog, string and hobo jumping trains?

Not that I'm demanding or anything....

Great tune Charlie (or Dave)
