Sorry again for missing the SS1 fest in time. I had the song ready in time, except the vocals... I couldn't sing this in tune, and my voice was really tired after the first verses. I had to go to my parents over the weekend, wake up early, and record it with my "morning voice", almost verse by verse, in a shack nearby.

This was recorded with my new BR80. I was surprise to notice it can't add effects while bouncing!!! WTF! Why is BOSS so bluntly designing for obsolescence?!?! I'm starting to get tired with BOSS and I'm considering investing some time in a proper DAW.

Back from my rant... It was too late when I noticed the voice needed some compression. I exported to audacity, worked the vocal track (BTW discovered a nice plugin: GSNAP for pitch correction), and when imported back to the BR80, the tempo changed! Don't know what happened, but I remember having similar problems back at DylanFest. So please excuse the discrete voice in the beginning of the track. Oh! and for the ocasional "everybody nose"

So.... nevermind the bollocks, here's dasilvasings...

EDIT: I just remastered this song with EnergyXT. I like much better this last version since finally I added some much needed compression to the vocals. Again, I'm quite disappointed with the BR-80 mastering/ bouncing capabilities.

Sorry for the self-bump.

I just remastered the song with energyXT, added some compression and EQ to the voice, EQ to the bass, an hysterical leslie to the hammond, and finally reverb to the master.
Much happier with the result.

Not enough space to rant with Roland, but for me, not adding effects while bouncing is a major disappointment. I never wanted to use DAWs, but it seems this is the only way forward.

Nice cover of a great classic. Love that walking bass and the organ rising half way through. You are talented for sure !

I really enjoyed this one -well done, especially considering the problems you had, the bass tone is so classy, and I could not get down that low either (anyone know if there is a reverse procedure for applying clamps to get into higher ranges?) - not a chance

Wow, this is looooooowwwww!!!! The bass is the best, and I love the Hammond too. I'll have to check out the pitch correction plugin because it worked great - I wouldn't have known! Awesome vox.

This tune is sweetness all over - Love it!!
