Another Year is from my "Farrell Jackson 3" cd. This is a remastered version using LANDR and with Kevin Marcey playing the drums. The remaster seems to give the strings and keys more presence in the mix...which I thought was lacking with previous mixes. Kevin's drums give the song new life. I wrote this song on a down day as my 50th birthday was approaching. It's gone through many revisions since then but this is the final one, it's done. I've made it long past that day so the song must have worked to get me by.....it was my fix, lol.

You might have noticed that several of the songs I've posted, including this one, have a Beatles-esque flavor to them. My plan is to create a cd of those like minded songs I've written over the years...but we all know how best laid plans goes )

I like this immensely , i really do , I'm very taken with the chorus sections , the harmonies are really effective , the vocal is just how i like it , all in all , EXCELLENT

Thanks Neil! All those years playing in a covers band must have ingrained the diversity into my head. I do miss the stage......besides the benefit of staying sharp by playing constantly it was good for the pocket book also.

A selfish birthday bump of Another Year, which I wrote several years ago as a birthday was approaching...the words are just as pertinent then as I turned 50 as they are now when I turn 70.
