As the title suggests, this is a song about my fear of moths. it's pretty metally, verging on emo, i would say. judge for yourself though. the vocals are a bit sketchy, but you should get the general idea. hope you like ;D

This kinda music is why I joined the br site. I was hoping to hear more stuff like this (although, I do enjoy all the other music as well).
What kind of guitar(s) were you using? What presets or external effects were you using?
I like the song. How can you thicken up the sound to make the guitars more chunky?
Post'em if you got'em.
Thanks,
Duck

This is why I love this site so much.  There is a lot of musical variety/styles represented on this forum.  Everybody is posting and listening to each others music.  There is positive feedback all around, no trash talk of ego stroking.  It is all about making the kind of music you feel inside and getting great feedback from a variety of people with very different backgrounds.  I have posted 4 things on here so far and have gotten nothing but great feedback.  This site has really boosted my creativity.  Way to go everybody.  I am not much of a metal head but I do appreciate a well played guitar which is something the metal heads on here can certainly do.  Keep on posting everybody, the love of music is the all important thing here.

cheers. i used an ibanez rg series guitar. quite cheap, but it does the job. i also played through a boss 'metal zone' pedal. it's pretty awesome and has many EQ adjusters. but because i layed the guitar tracks down first, i didn't add enough bass to it, partly because i wanted more definition and not just an extreme bassy sound. but doesn't really cut through the drums n vocals as much as i would have liked. i should have added more bass to it really, to get it chunky.

as for this site... it is indeed awesome! not least because of all of the positive feedback you get. i don't think anyone has ever actually left a negative comment. not that i am aware of anyway. and of course, the fact that you can find the solution to any problem just by posting your queries. without this website... i would be nothing, hahaha. hats off to pedro ( which i believe is the name of the administrator ) for making all this possible. what a legend  ;)

This is really cool. The guitar is great, but the drum sequencing is outstanding! Really inventive. I like the vocals, and don't find them "sketchy", as you put it.

Cool song, awesome guitar tone and playing, and as troy6120 said, outstanding drum sequencing. What did you use for the drums?

Just out of curiosity, what year and model is your Ibanez? I have a 1985 RS-525 which is a pretty good guitar. I used to have some tuning problems but then I discovered that the strings were sticking in the nut. This was easily remedied by applying some Big Bends Nut Sauce occasionally. I haven't used the Ibanez much since I got my Godin xtSA though.

Ya this is awesome, reminds me of a Local band I was a big fan of a few years back called "Hhead."

I found it cool that you used the metal zone, that was the 1st boss pedal I ever bought back before I discovered the rack mounted preamp and I loved that thing, made my Marshall 1/2 stack shake the foundations, and made my Peavy Tracer guitar sound metal for sure.

Keep up the Metal.... theres never enough Metal!

this is awsome, well done. just got my mbr today and found this site, cant wait to post some stuff myself.

thankyou very much. although, i can't really take credit for the drums, considering i just did them on the trusty micro BR. good old pre- programmed beats eh?

as for my guitar, i'm really not sure what model it is i'm afraid. i have been searching through archives of the RG series, on the net, and i can't find it. it only cost about £400 about 5 years ago, if that is any help. i haven't had much trouble with it though. the only thing i don't like is the tremolo bridge. i bought it when i didn't know anything about guitars. so obviously i didn't know about the spring tension adjustments that are necessary when detuning etc. guitars with tremolo bridges should really have warning stickers on.

This is very, very good. The song is catchy and the drums are really awesome. Maybe you could just add a bit of reverb to the vocals and the overall mix.
