I thought I had listened and reviewed this but guess not. Anyway, great acoustic guitar sound and playing Bluesberry! The DADGAD sounds very full and lively. This is a great recording for the first time around with the BR 80! I like what you said about it's portability....I may have to pick one up for that very reason.

Dave, this is a superb song, the chord sequences are wonderful and the acoustic sound is so rich and well detailed. The BR-80 captured the Seagull beautifully, and the solo work is really good, fits really well. The lyrics are great here and the overall feel is fantastic. There are so many nice little changes that you are drawn into it.

I do have a slight "but", and I hope you don't mind me saying this, but the vox do get a bit pitchy when you reach for the very high notes  in just a couple of parts. I would be tempted to give them another try to see if you can get those high notes more precisely, or perhaps try going down rather than up at those points - you did say did the vox separately, right?  This is such a good song it would be worth just tweaking the vox a bit IMO. Regardless of that, it stands well as it is and really is a strong piece of music which I really enjoyed.

Cheers,

Nigel
