A cover song I did by Dave Mason from his "Alone Together" album circa 1970. I don't do many cover songs but I've always liked this song so I decided to do it and post it up. 1 track lead guitar 1974 Telecaster Thinline with Bassman amp mic'ed with SM57. 1 track 1979 Takamine acoustic mic'ed with a Rode NT1A. I track Vox Violin Bass direct. 2 tracks lead vocals. 2 tracks harmony vocals. 2 stereo tracks Zoom drums. 1 track maracas. So 10 tracks total. Mastered with LANDR. Nothing extraordinary...it is what it is. I must be feeling nostalgic, lol.

You have caught the vibe on this one FJ,, I must say its a cracking recording with just amazing vocals !! the guitars come through the mix so well on this track , clean and clear but just enough edge to burn a bit !!!

Fabulous stuff Farrell !!

Thanks Steve! Yes the whole thing was recorded and mixed on my Fostex VF160. The lead guitar is A Telecaster Thinline but instead of micing an amp I plugged direct to a Sans Amp modeler and made the adjustments in order to match Dave Mason's tone the best I could. I also doubled the vocals in the chorus as he did.

Thanks!
