I just heard about this now. Very quickly done and moving piece for this sad time for you.

It`s bad enough a person killing someone, but killing young kids?? Is this really a solution to whatever cause he had?

i`m sorry and saddened for your country this day Geir. Hearing this kind of stuff just kills me inside :'(

Events like this are maddening.
A song like this can buy some temporary inner peace while figuring out how to process what is going on around.

I was very sorry to hear about this tragedy, Geir.

you may never be able to make any sense of this horrendous incident-but your grief is felt worldwide-you all are in our thoughts and prayers
very mournful tune-i like the stereo play of the acoustic guitar parts-the vocal track rivals in tone of any method of recording-awesome use of the little box

A terrible thing to happen Geir...no rhyme or reason....insane or not......but you've done what songwriters do....you've put your feelings to song....and we can feel your grief and terror........this is a true tragedy in this crazy world of ours......a good tribute song to those that grieve.

Coming to this late, so we now know the full extent of the horror. The emotion in this piece must echo how so many Norwegians are feeling. But it also reflects the positive spirit that has been shown since the tragedy unfolded. Well sung Geir.

Geir

I left for Berlin, the morning after the tragic event, and have been watching it from a distance through BBC world news and an occasional glance at the online version of the Norwegian newspapers. Back in Norway I feel proud of how the people have reacted. The calm, the lack of fingers pointing to blame, the dedication to make life as we know it come back to normal, to a place where it's safe to speak your mind where politicians can walk without fear in the streets. It may be naive to think that we can keep on this life, where the police don't carry guns and the king can take the tram to go skiing, but I sure hope we can be that naive a little bit longer.

Thank you for all your thoughts and comments.  This has been a tough week, and tho I didn't (as far as I know now) know any of the victims personally, it feels close.  The youth that were at Utøya, came from all over Norway. A grandkid of one of my colleges should have been there. I know people in many of the places that the victims came from. Words are hard to find in times like this, and there's a lot of things I'd like to get out, but I'll try to put music to it instead ........ the rain didn't wash this away, but the thousands on thousands of flowers give me hope ..... and the streets are not empty !
