Had some mini-gas today, picked up a Snark sn-1 tuner.

Cheap 20$cdn, the sn-1 does electric / acoustic and bass guitars.
Works very well with none of the dead spots like my Intellitouch tuner has which always seems to have trouble with e strings.

And it can adjust for tuning with a capo in place on the first 4 frets.

Friend is using it on a violin, and it seems to work fine.

sn-2 model adds a mic and can tune any instrument not just strings.

Nice addition to the kit bag.
