It's easy to tell when Dave's excited. The run on sentence structure is the key. Dave your energy is infectious!

The COSM effects, I wasn't sold on early, but I'm really really starting to like them.

I think I'm the only person with the "drive busy" errors in Live Rec mode. I'm going to swap back to the original SD card and see if it clears up.

Basically its a mode on the BR-80
It has a host of loops to play over and record with
You can import any song into the directory to play over with
It can change Tempo, change pitch and remove center of each song/loop
Each loop is accompanied by Roland's choice of guitar patch (Which can be easily changed)

All in all countless hours of fun.......
What I like is the range of different loops with different patches
It encourages you to try different stuff with different sounds!!!

Listen and Watch all the vids on You Tube...It will give you a feel for the sounds

Hello again folks,
Nipped down to the local music emporium today and asked if I could test drive a BR80.  Happily they obliged and I spent the next couple of hours noodling around with it.  Have to say it's an awesome bit of kit.  My only real niggle is that it doesn't support time signatures other than 4/4 but on the strength of the other features, I'm getting one tommorow  :) I'm still gonna write to the Boss folks in the hope that a steady stream of whinging and whining e mails might get them to weave the necessary magic and make 3/4 6/8 and other time sig SMFs supportable.  Really, if they sort that out I believe I'll have bagged me a near perfect piece of shiny goodness.  Was wondering if any of you veterans could tell me where is the best place to direct my grumbles, ideally an e mail address if you have the info.
Much obliged.

Hello,
Received a reply this morning about the time signature mallarkey.  Here's what they say...

Thank you for your email.
This is not a bug - just a limitation of the current version.
We have had many requests for this function to be extended - and we have passed all requests ( like this one ) to Japan.
So fingers crossed the OS will be updated in the near future.
