Is this what you mean?   https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/BR80.html

There's also another BR-80 topic here:   https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=10830.0

The update is available here along with the instructions:

http://www.roland.com/support/article/?q=downloads&p=BR-80&id=62153330

You might want to read the instructions while you're waiting for your BR-80 to arrive. Also, while you're waiting, I'd recommend reading the BR-80 Owner's Manual and the five Workshop booklets. You'll find them on my BR-80 page (first link at the top of this message). And you can install the BR Wave Converter and eBand Song List Editor now too.

I been scrolling through this thread looking to see if there is a
way to be able to use and monitor your vocals using the built in
mics while your recorded music track is playing at the same time
without having to record it in the MTR mode? The MBR let you do
this.

Hi folks.   I may have a chance on one of these. Adding to the above post about mics. I know this has two but I only record vocals in mono and. Can we still record in mono ( 1 mic one track) Thought I would ask as Jim is on about recording using mics. There may be an answer somewhere but I have just had an eye op and can only just see the screen and it hurts!!!!
Sweet young thing aint sweet no more.

Geir

you can record in mono but it uses both mics. What I do is record in stereo and just ditch one track and pan the remaining track centered ! Works just fine.

Just a quick question. A while ago someone kindly posted a link to the German Roland site which had 30 effects patches in the style of guitar heroes. I note that there is one for 50 effects patches but for the EBand. Does anyone know if this will work with the MBR80? Also, the Boss multi effect pedal ME25 has a similar download (US site - with sound samples). Would that work on Micro BR80 or am I pushing my luck!!

By the way.

what others stuff you guys would advice to buy to use with the BR-80? like connetions, cable, etc etc.

Here's the page:   http://www.soundsderhelden.de/uebersicht.html

Since there are separate downloads for different devices, I think we can assume that they're incompatible. Otherwise, they'd just have one download for all compatible devices.

There are free editors available for some of those devices. You might be able to use them to display the settings of the patches in the ME-25, GS-10, GT-Pro, etc. and manually enter those settings into your BR-80.

A guitar cable, an USB cable, a split cable: male stereo mini-jack to 2 male normal jacks (for my old keyboards), headphones and monitors.
That's it .....  ..... oh and as many instruments as your budget allows ;) + some homemade beer-shakers and beer tambourine ;D
