64, Gman thanks. I'm going on that site to get "YYZ" and mess around with it. On page 73 of the manual I found all the note numbers for the available drum sounds. That might fill in any holes using smf files that were not configured specifically for the BR-80.

I'm playing around with Tony's 80 - Fantastic little thing it is!

I created a midi drum map for the BR-864 several years ago. It shows the BR midi notes along with the corresponding General Midi names.

https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/Docs/BR-864_MIDI_Drum_Map.pdf

I seem to have forgotten to include the metronome. And the Cross Stick has moved from midi note 31 to 37 in the BR-80 (so it now corresponds with the GM Side Stick). I think I'll update the chart to cover all of the BRs that have midi. I'll post it here when I'm done.

Okay, here's my improved MIDI Drum Map.

https://songcrafters.org/64guitars/BR/Docs/Boss BR MIDI Drum Map.pdf

It covers the BR-80, BR-864, BR-900, BR-532, and BR-8. I couldn't find any MIDI documentation on the BR-600 but I believe it is the same as the BR-864 and BR-900.

The standard General MIDI percussion map only includes MIDI notes 35 through 81. That's why notes 27 through 34 of my drum map show no names in the "GM Drum Sound" column. Those notes aren't in the GM percussion map.

That's excellent information, guys - I haven't bought my 80 yet, but I'm glad this import feature is available. Dreaming about this!

I think the missing LOC feature and not being able to bounce in effects is the only downside, but I never really used that much anyway. And the ability to bounce EQ is a godsend - Probably my fave feature so far!

Hey Jim,

If you want a mixdown WAV, you can enter Mastering Mode, choose a mastering preset, set your start and end if necessary, then press Record & Play buttons and when it finishes it will put a WAV file in your Mastering folder on the SD card. For more info, check out p. 21 of the user guide.

If you're referring to getting WAV files of specific tracks, then the BR Wave Converter software is the way to go.

Hi cuthbert, I am still having problems trying to put a wav file into the MTR mode.
I installed BR wave Converter software, Followed the directions on the PDF. but when I select which Drive the Wav file is in, It doesn't see it. I have everything installed correct and when the MBR-80 is connected with the USB it says its Idle which means it's working.
Why can't the MBR-80 be like the MBR when it comes to importing files into to it for futher editing? I also put the wav file in the Mastering folder and It does see it and can be played in the eband mode. I just want to put it into the MTR mode so I can Add more tracks to it and have more editing options.  Someone Please help. this shouldn't be this hard. The MBR did this with ease.  AGGG!!!  Thanks for any help you can provide.
