Folks, I have a few poems that I am not able to turn into lyrics.  So I thought why not just read them along with some rippin' electric guitar?  Sounds like a great idea as soon as I learn how to "rip" an electric guitar.

People please tell me if my faux accent makes you cringe.

Thanks for listening!

Passed Out on a Stretcher in Some Kind of Eternal Emergency Room

Dear particles of cosmic dust,
Dear undiscovered elements,
Dear Jane / the dame / with no last name,

My heart is in pieces
but it was never broken

I disassembled it;

an experiment in neuroplasticity and biodegradability
in the name of science

perhaps taken too far.

Meanwhile the universe expands like a loaf of bread.

My need to extract the meaning of life
could be the thing that leaves me dead.

I am an impulsive man
but I'm taking a moment to reflect
for an eternal microsecond
before I take this next step ahead.

One small step for a man
A giant leap for all kinds

in the name of madness

I will find
new heights and new depths
new lengths and new breadths

I will sprawl
I will spread
I'll fly Union Jacks

If I can only break
the confines
of my
own
head.

Greeny

No cringing going on here.

Fantastic lyrics, and a cool delivery. There's a touch of 'The End' by the Doors in places on the guitar work - very trippy stuff. And I do like a bit of musical narration. Was almost over a bit quick for me. Like it!

Thanks guys!

I have a few more of these to do.

I will risk wearing out my welcome as I know spoken word over solo electric guitar is not everyone's cup of tea.

I like it......I like how it ends, drifting off like that.  Very cool.  Not one milligram of cringe here, its wonderful.
