apologies to 64 guitars i should be working on your version of pretty woman, and apologies to hooper i should be trying to improve vocal performance on lolita.

however i had a few cans of stella in the fridge and digressed down another path, a path that led me to the mighty todd is god rundgren.
i came across a midi file for "it wouldn't really make any difference" removed cheesy vox guide track and had a go. hic. burp belch hic.

just a solo vox but it needs more backing vox and harmonies etc etc hic etc.
but anyway here it is.

Always loved this song. The vocals sound great but I agree that it could use some backing vocals. And now that you've got that great Juno keyboard, maybe you should have a go at doing some of the keyboard parts yourself. Time for a remake?

Great tune.  Great version.  I've said this before, but I find it uncanny (and canny) how you seem to morph your voice to fit whatever you are tackling.

I always dug Todd's lyrics for "Parallel Lines" off his Nearly Human album (an under appreciated album.  A bit uneven like many Todd releases but with some great tunes).  And who can't respect a guy who produced Grand Funk Railroad?

Nice cover, Jim!!  You sure hit those high notes very well!  Your volume died off quite a bit towards the end of the song...maybe it's my earplugs I using here at work...

Why not post this in Covers?

Actually, Satch, I just moved it here from Original Songs because a) it's not an original, and b) the music is entirely from a midi file downloaded from the web. So it clearly belongs here in Backing Track Jams. If oldrottenhead decides to redo some of the parts himself on his Juno keyboard and/or get some other members to collaborate with him, then that version could go in Covers.

You're right. It probably was just "Post your Work" back then. Pedro must have put it in the wrong board when he reorganised the site.
