Wow, I was right there with you for a minute - It's definitely my favorite time of day too. Especially with some decent summer weather - You guys have that a couple times a month don't you? ;D

I love a great chorus and this is the best one I've heard in a while! Beautiful harmonies, perfect rhythm and that damn bass line of yours is really cookin'! Just magical I say.

You nailed this one, bro!

Hi Tim love the lyrics to this but I need to listen to the song at home, there's too much distraction here (work) to do it justice. Will download and listen in glorious isolation.............Willie

Greeny

Quote from: Bluesberry on July 08, 2011, 07:32:15 AMThere is something about a good Greeny song......and this one is a very good Greeny song........the interaction between the fantastic sounding guitars, the bass line weaving through, the lyrics telling a strange tale, the vocal melody rising and falling, everything has its own line here, no straight lines...nothing following anything else, all weaving around each other, and it flipping works wonderfully................it weaves a spell, all that together, the sum of it all weaves a huge tight spell.............it creates something alive, something so captivating, did I mention the unorthodox harmonies.................it grabs me tight by the ears and doesn't let go until the very end, when it finally releases me from its grip.  I find this one to be approaching a place of perfection, just exactly the way it is.......I couldn't envision any single thing different here, it would probably break the spell...............you are not just writing songs, not just telling tales, you are weaving spells here, magic spells.  It comes out as a complete world, like a snow globe world, a complete little spell of an illusion, wrapped up in a ........ well you know, wrapped up in a mystery...all that kind of thing. There is deep magic in your songs Mr.Green, deep magic.  This one has a large feeling.  From the first strum to the last, its got me deep in its magic.  Well done Tim, well done.

Thanks BB... your words means a lot, my friend

Downloaded and appreciated as a fine piece even though I'm not sure that some of the chord changes don't infringe on health and safety regs  :D...........Willie

At last. I have got to hear it....

The chord changes are challening but sound smooth and natural in your hands Tim. Good transistions and it sneakily returns to the main theme without shouting out - watch out , watch out - here it comes... here it comes..... there did you spot it???

nice to hear the fret buzz on your bass.

Brilliant song mate.

This is my fave time of day as well, catching up on some of the great songs I've missed as I don't have much time on the forum at present. Brilliant Tim, just brilliant, I love the urgency of the bass line driving the melody, the harmonies are fantastic and the vox sound great without reverb. The lyrics are wonderful, so many fabulous mental pictures and little word games going on. Pretty good for a man in his underwear at 2am in the morning!

Really enjoyed this a lot.

Cheers,

Nigel
