Lead guitar tone suitable for "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd. For best results, as always, be sure to set your amp to a flat response.  This tone uses the soldano amp modeler to obtain the distortion - adjust the VOLUME (not the Master Volume) setting for the amp modeler for more or less distortion. (Rhythm guitar - use preset "VO Drive" that came with the Micro BR.) This tone can also be found at:

Very cool lead tone. Added to my user patches.

Reminds me of Jimmy Page's solos tone.

Thanks for sharing 97teledlx!

The only thing I cant find is the Bright setting on the SLDN preamp. Don't understand whats wrong.

That may be my error.  The user manual page 72 does not list the Soldano amp as having a bright setting as it does not actually have one on the "REAL" amp. You can neglect that setting.  Hope that clears things up!

OK.

Patch sounds great, its pretty different in relation to the lead presets patches. Been jamming with it for a while now. Keep them coming!

Scared me there for a minute on that Bright setting. I thought it might have been a bug in my Micro BR Patch Documenter program. But I just had a look and the program correctly excludes the Bright parameter from the SLDN preamp. I assume you added the text for that setting manually? If so, why? It doesn't come up as a parameter on the Micro BR, does it? I don't have access to a Micro BR so I wrote the program according to the info in the manual, which says the Bright parameter is only available on the JC-120, CLEAN, CRUNCH, BLUES, and BG LEAD preamp types. So my program will only list the Bright setting if one of those preamps is selected.

Your program works great, don't worry!  ;)

I have removed the bright switch setting from the original post and it should reflect the settings properly. I did add it manually.  As a lead player, I need my tones to be a little brighter to cut through our bands mix.  Sorry for any inconvenience.  I will stick to the original program output from now on for the forum. Glad to hear you have enjoyed this one.  ONE EXTRA NOTE ABOUT THE RECORDED VERSION BY LYNYRD SKYNYRD, ALL GUITARS (EVEN THE BASS GUITAR) ARE TUNED DOWN 1/2 STEP (i.e. Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb)  I will have more in the future, but don't hold your breath!! Enjoy!!
