Excellent, 64! I'm not from England, but I remember watching the re-runs here in the US. I must confess, I din't remember the theme song, but this was very well done. Could be part of a larger piece. Nice work!

There are only three kinds of drummers. Those who can count, and those who can't.

Thanks, Mike, Frank, and PJ. I recorded the opening theme from one of the Doctor Who episodes, worked out how to play all the parts, then made my own recording of it. That's why it's so short - it's the length of the opening theme. To make it longer, I'd have to first get some songwriting talent.  :D

Bold, ballsy, brassy, & flashy - a thumping good tune, 64Guitars!  :D

And with all due respects to the esteemed here, I don't believe it's too short, even though it could be longer and still great. But always leave 'em wanting more, not looking at their watches...that's what I always say!

64Guitars;
This is great. It could be the start of something big.
How about a medley of 30 second extracts from favourite UK TV shows.
Obviously there'd be Dr Who, but you could also have:

The Saint
The Persuaders
Hawaii Five-O
Tomorrow People

and then finish up with
Generation Game
and
Rhubarb & Custard

Ok ... the last 2 were a joke.

Any other ideas

Good idea, g1ngerjack. I always liked Eric Idle singing his theme from "One Foot in the Grave", although it might not work well with Doctor Who.

Some others that come to mind are "Primeval" (might work well with Doctor Who), "New Tricks" (reminds me of "End of the Line" by the Traveling Wilburys), "Empty", "Midsomer Murders", "Mulberry", "Vicar of Dibley", "Robin of Sherwood" (theme by Clannad), "Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps", and "Father Ted".

These are just themes that I like. They wouldn't necessarily work well together in a medley. But I might do a few individually just for fun.

When I get some time, I'll try looking for some more themes that will work with Doctor Who in order to extend it into a medley. Thanks for the idea.

But the 70s tv shows are the best to do .

But Dr Who is the best tv tune in the world ever  --   that tune is
probs the reason that were all into music now ( well us UK kids ) listerning to it as a kid
it just gets in to your whole psych.
