I bought an African Ebony plectrum today. It was £3.00. It's way cool. Never seen 'em before and I couldn't resist it's black silky charms. I normally use the Dunlop 1.14mm ones, but they do 'round off' pretty quick. Apparently, this thing'll last for ages. Just thought I'd let you all know... :)

Ho Ho. I finally got some a while back... :) Couldn't afford to feed my family for a week however.

there y'go. what will they think of next? I gotta say, after getting over the initial weirdness and the total lack of 'give' in the pick, I'm hooked. I want 'em all. It's like collecting Pokemon. Or something.

I have metal picks, which I love in terms of feel but not in sound.

I like no-give.

I'm an anomaly, though, because I use my fingers to play guitar but I use a pick to play bass.

If you play to hard and fast do they catch fire or just splinter up ?

Ummm wood picks and hemp strings, now there's a thought for a mellow yellow sound!  8)

Actually, I have one - and they sound quite a bit softer, quite a remarkable difference on an acoustic guitar.
