I know I've been remiss toward listening to everyone's work here but for those that requested more of my stuff, here's my last for awhile.  Critics always welcome! :P

Not to brag but I'm starting to sense a style developing but don't want to get too repetitious so plan to lay off writing and just practice.

Anyway, it's real rough and vocal quality sucks (still) but hope you like it.  :D

Half a World Away (c) Ken J Hill 2011
=======================
I'm going to climb a mountain
Just to see whats' there

High above the clouds
Where the weather's fair - (rp)

Want to climb to heaven
Where all is fresh and clear

Don't want a world of conflict
Where everyone's in fear - (rp)
------------------------------------------
Up here I can see forever
No fog in which to hide

Where I can see reflections
Of a selfish side

Now I see everything
Even half a world away

But no one wants to lend a hand
Not even for a day
------------------------------------------
The days keep getting shorter
But nights are oh so long

I'm still awake when birds start singing
All their happy songs - (rp)

There is a storm that's building
And it's on it's way

I hope that we'll all make it
But only time can say - (rp)

I'm diggin' this one, Ken! Sounds great, and the songwriting is still creative as ever.

You do have a cool style going on, keep it up!

Thanks very much everyone!  Your comments do mean a lot!

But gee, no criticisms?  Boy, I really must be my own worst critic.  I at least expected someone to recommend an "S" filter setting... (got my teeth fixed - now all S's whistle...) :D

A great song, and well recorded.

Practice by all means, but don't stop writing.  You have a style - which is great.  Keep using it.
