i added some words and vocals, i hope they are ok.

we shot the breeze
and cracked some cans
we raised our glasses high
and toasted you my man..........................
gone
but not forgotten

we shared some laughs
and memories
talked for hours about you
and all the things you said..............
gone
but not forgotten

you left your mark
on all of us
you touched so many
so many with your love.......................
gone
but not forgotten

we shed some tears
we shed some more
thinking 'bout you makes me smile
i'm smiling through my tears
gone
but not forgotten
thinking of damon

First off, I have never heard you play such beautiful guitar Glenn, really wonderful man.  Jims vocals are very nice addition.  Wonderful song.  It reminds me of a Ronnie Lane kind of song.  sweet.

this is a great song. THe guitar is fantastic. Really good quality and a lovely style.

James's voice and lyrics sit well with the instrument. I think that this needs nothing else.

This is a collab of the highest power - I love it! Soft and breezy with great playing and singing, and such an excellent mix too.

Wonderful lyrics to top it all of.

Beautiful, guys!

Beautiful collab - universal, even. This resonates with anyone who's lost someone.

I hear shades of solo Lennon here - especially the fingerpicking and poignant chorus. So well done, guys.

i was very wary of doing this, knowing of mglennm's loss, i didn't want to be trite or say i know how you feel, but i did want to show some empathy. the song is titled thinking of damon and is for him as the music was inspired by thinking of damon.

i never knew damon but like cuthbert said the feelings are universal, so i was thinking of friends and folk i have lost, so i wanted it to be a celebration of/for damon........ why do i find it easier to sing what i mean than to write it down, anyway i hope you know what i mean guys.

and i raise my glass to Damon.
