Batman was a good one. And Love Boat, from a nostalgia point of view. Many of us remember these themes from our childhood.

Here's another great one:

It's called "The Fishin' Hole" and here's how it was originally written by Earle Hagen and Herbert Spencer, with lyrics written by Everett Sloane. Sung by Andy Griffith.

Well, now, take down your fishin' pole
and meet me at The Fishin' Hole
We may not get a bite all day
but don't you rush away

What a great place to rest your bones
and mighty fine for skippin' stones
You'll feel fresh as a lemonade
a-settin' in the shade

Whether it's hot, whether it's cool
Oh what a spot for whistlin' like a fool

What a fine day to take a stroll
and wander by The Fishin' Hole
I can't think of a better way
to pass the time o' day

We'll have no need to call the roll
when we get to The Fishin' Hole
There'll be you, me, and Old Dog Trey
to doodle time away

If we don't hook a perch or bass
we'll cool our toes in dewy grass
Or else pull up a weed to chaw
and maybe set and jaw

Hangin' around, takin' our ease
Watchin' that hound a-scratchin' at his fleas

Come on, take down your fishin' pole
and meet me at The Fishin' Hole
I can't think of a better way
to pass the time o' day

Batman was always a fave of mine. And Barney Miller was one that always stuck in my head. We play this one in band practice, gets the smiles going!

No words to this one (that I know of), but the cuts to the beat (and especially the dancing hula girl) had a profound influence on young cuthbert:

As an aside, it's amazing how many of these old 70s cop shows had brass as the main element in their themes.

The opening theme from WKRP in Cincinnati isn't bad.

But I just love the closing theme!

The lyrics in this video are totally wrong. Nobody really knows what the true lyrics are. Whatever they are, it sure sounds good.

As a young boy this kicked major ass and was easily the best part of the show.

A Canadian production, back when there were only 26 colour TVs in whole the country!
