I went to see my GP the other day.  While he was taking my blood pressure (high, of course) he asked me to look the other way.  On his bookshelf was a picture of him sitting in front of a midi keyboard and a pc with a DAW on the screen.  Turns out that he writes and records lots of children's music.  He's promised to swap CDs with me.  I get children's music and he gets False Prophet.  That should ruin his blood pressure....

These musical doctors get everywhere Alfredo

Paul, your G.P. is absolutely a great G.P., no doubt about it!  :D

And...yes, there is a HUGE number of doctors involved in this kind of stuff...

A German colleague, and friend of mine, Wolfgang Ellenberger (doctor and a great pianist and orchestra director), many years ago decided to collect doctors from allover the world who, aside their profession, have also some other...specialization.

His web site is actually full of names:

http://www.doctorshobbies.com/index.html

...and of course I'm there too, as GuitarDoc  ;D and JournalistDoc.

...and our Songcrafter friend (and colleague) GianniC (ciao Gianni!) last year joined the PDO - Philarmonic Doctors Opera

http://www.en.pdo.name/

...as a singer in Mozart's Magic Flute, in Germany...

LOL, looks like great fun. I will have to post some examples of how I work music into my day job! My company runs big IT conferences and I always try to make sure that the ones that I am involved in have some form of musical opening (that involves me and some other muso work colleagues). So far we have done skits based on Kraftwerk, the Monkees and the Beatles.

Great links Alfredo!

Cheers,

Nigel

Nigel, jokes apart...

Do you wanna make your conferences more successful? Make available, after the social dinner, one guitar and/or a piano, free for everyone who wants to play...someone will come to play, no doubt about it.
This will give the conference a touch, and a MEMORY of sympathy, friendship, joy...

Try!  ;)
