Yes, Audition worked just fine for me when I ran it on an XP operating system.
Moved to Win 7 and a quad core board/cpu and now there's nothing but problems.

Adobe seems to be a bit sluggish on their upgrades.
Couldn't find any useful suggestions on Adobe's site.

Just installed Sonar. So far I've figured out how to get it to run.
This is a complicated mother to mess with. Learning curve appears to be straight up and vanishing into the stratosphere. Audition is child's play by comparison.

I will report back on this one in two years.

After extensive testing of Audition CS5.5 I deleted it and went back to version 3.01.

I appears that Adobe has given the world a $400.00 MP3 player that doesn't work that well. How smart is that?

I never was able to stop the extraneous noise it injects into a track during the editing process. Terrible!

Many of the editing options that are a staple in 3.0 have been removed from CS5.5.
CS5.5 has been deliberately crippled.

Don't waste your money on this dog. It won't hunt.
