Piracy ... where do you stand ?

MP3's are almost like addictive candy, too. Cheap and bad for your brain. When I was ripping a CD the other day so I could share it with all my friends and they could share with all of theirs, I noticed that the CD did noticeably sound better than the ripped files. It's hard to tell the difference if you don't have a comparison.

Most people don't care about the difference in quality. Some are probably accustomed to it since it is all they listen to.

Yes, I agree - And I've noticed some internet radio stations are streaming between 64 and 96K. It doesn't sound that good. Wonder how they get away with it. I did some work on an automated DJ system the other day and I think you can go even lower than that if you want.
