Hi there Ant!

Well I can tell that right now I use Micro BR for mainly acoustic recordings. I have recorded acoustic guitar, drums, flutes, vocals, nature sounds, street sounds, etc... with it and they sound great.

You can do this by two main ways, using the built-in mic (mono only) which is very good or you can use an external microphone pluged in Line in/Mic stereo.

You can listen to these sound samples:

External Mic  http://microrecorders.org/audio/acoustic_guitar_mandolin_boss_micro_br.MP3

Onboard Mic http://microrecorders.org/audio/acoustic_guitar_onboard_mic.MP3

And also hear the great acoustical guitar recordings by Scorpios:

You can upload your finished song (in MP3, WAV) to the computer via USB.

Ok its coming soon...c'moon, one more thing, is it possible to record bass guitar? I know there is guitar input, but recording bass  guitar properly is hit and miss with digital recorders.

Yes, it is possible. Micro BR even has effects presets for Bass, though there are only two of them.

Ant,

Take this from someone who only does acoustic recording and does not even own an electric guitar....The BR is AWESOME !

One thing that completely amazed me was how sharp the builtin mic sounds - it is flawless. I just sit it on the kitchen table ( level with the sound hole ) and play away. I usually lay down 4 trcks of acoustic such as the main rhythm, riffs, bass line and solo.

Using the Micro BR's bouncing technology, I then add whatever the song calls for. In my opinion, the built in mic is the best way to go with an acoustic.

Buy it....you won't regret it.
