Oh my... I missed this one. It's superb, Ted. Those lyrics are incredible - sharp and thoughtful storytelling in the Randy Newman tradition. And the stripped-back arrangement is all you need with a strong and gutsy performance like this. Love it. And would have loved to see it live!

The Missiles of October is a song I haven't shared here yet. It's a very sad song written from my father's perspective. Halfway through performing the song it occurred to me that it was the first time I'd performed the song since my father died last year. A wave of emotion struck me as I was singing.

I demand this tune be posted in a raw fashion.......

not sure why I picked this one...but I m so glad i did...
this is a fantastic recording, song, vocals etc...
sometimes it's best to get out of your head when you play...
this needs nothing else...perfection you can't top...you can make it different.
