kari sent me this cracking tune this afternoon
and words came very quickly, probably about 70% autobiographical, i have never been in a duel, me and the missus fell out about something stupid last night was an hour before we fell back in again. am sure you can all relate to it on some level tho.

The melody in the verse 'was stolen' from an old tune of mine. It was chorus melody, then. Now, I moved it to verse and added guitar riff for it. Recycling...that's modern isn't it . The presets I used were Phase clean (comressed) and VOcomp. All done on MBR and mixed on Audacity.

Oh yeah....I've been down that stupid pride road many times. You would think it would be so obvious to not take that turn but I always miss the road sign, lol!

This is an a excellent collaboration! Almost, but not full on, has a Bob Dylan flavor to it (a compliment). The clean guitars sound great and the vox melody and delivery is very memorable......the song has finished and the chorus is still echoing in my head.

I love this - the electric guitar is the type of sound I want to be able to get (thanks for posting some detail on this, Kari). The arrangement of the music overall is just stellar.

And Jim - well expressed universal (sooner or later) relationship impasse! Your vocal delivery here sort of reminds me of early Bowie (BowieFest inspiration?) I like the range.
