BR-800 as drum machine?

IMO -

I would like to see a pattern play mode, with the ability assign a tempo for each individual tempo, (which would become a global tempo when the play button was pressed, with the first tempo saved for the initial pattern).

Individual patterns could be assigned to the play/rec keys in this mode for live performance (of course it would be nice to have a pattern creation mode, where the play/rec keys would function as drum pads for individual patterns as well.

I'm sure this could be done in the OS (unless there is some memory limitation in the chip); in addition, the patterns should be able to be exported as MIDI type 2 files in the editor.

The BR-800 then would have awesome application as a backing track machine in live performance.

I can't imagine Roland doing this, but it is at least a fantasy for the forthcoming upgrade....
