Car Boot Sale Bargains?

A friend of mine suggests bank holiday car boots sales are a good place to pick up bargains on the musical front. Gonna get an early start (6am tomorrow) and see if I can find a cheap bass guitar or an old keyboard.

Anyone else ever had success finding gear at car boots or garage sales?

Well, I got up early and went, spent 2hours trawling through boots and found nothing barring an old Yamaha keyboard I got for £2, thought it might be good for circuit bending.
Thing is, when I got it home it didnt work anyway, D'oh!

Mind you, I got an Edirol UA-4FX from Oxfam...

There was a Squier 'P' bass for £50, I had a look but the neck didn't look straight to me so I gave it a miss.
I still think there is a chance of picking up something decent one weekend, if I get there early enough!
