Beyond 1 GB?

Has anyone heard anything as to whether the MBR will ever have memory capacity beyond 1 GB? By virtue of a firmware update perhaps?

Thanks

The general concensus of opinion is that the MBR software will not be upgraded any time soon.

It would be good though if it could use 2Gb cards. There is a whole section in one of the forums dedicated to what you would like to see on an MBR.

I use a 2 gig card with no problems at all...you just have to format it (initialize it) with the Micro BR

Same here...I didn't know there was a problem with them to be honest. As long as it's initialised within the BR itself and not formatted on a computer, it seems to work fine.

That is exactly what I was wondering.  When you use a 2GB card, after it initializes, won't it only use half of the card?  Thanks for bringing this up.  I think it is the same concept as a digital camera; there are limits to storage capacity that it can operate.
