ok .. it is the same song as "The Devil drives a Volvo"  ::) but in a new jazzy upbeat version, with my brother on the drums. Drumkit consisted of : snare, hi-hat and ride, and a half-full paint-bucket as a kick-drum.

I recorded a guide-track with guitar and all the words I could fit in while playing the 5/4 rhythm on the guitar. Added a jazzish bass-line and went to Spain to record the vocals in a rented red Cooper. Also added a dash of ukulele at the outro.

The lyrics can be found in the first version of this song.

Not sure if this is the final mix ..... I may also redo the vocals ..... But the drums are fab !!

Great inventive sound, your brother sounds great on the drums, real drums always sound better, on my second listen excellent stuff, magic, magic!!

Great fun but it could do with more paint bucket in the mix! Thought I'd heard this before but it's far more likely the devil would rdrive a Cooper than a Volvo. Love the real drums and the whole concept. More please!

Cheers,

Nigel

It kind of reminds me of something off Jethro Tull's first or second album.....wicked good.

How did you manage to sing all the way through with that timing, it would have given me nightmares. Nice drumming, was it gloss or emulsion. Sounded pretty glossy to me  :D Willie

Magical!

I thought the devil would be more likely to be seen in a Aston Martin Vantage. But I guess even in 5/4 that's not going to scan....

I remember this song very well. It was part of DaSilvaSings's Official 2010's Summer Holidays Soundtrack! (not so sure where to put the 's in this sentence  :))

This new version is great with the drums and uke (small) solo! Great song, great version, great drums. As a resume: This song is Geirt!
