Boss BR-80 availability and pricing

Interesting, if you search L&M for BOSS pedals a lot of the new ones like the RC-30 & RC-3 have a price quoted!
I hope this new trend continues!!

That's not usually how it's referred to in the US (which I believe is where AMS is).  The first number usually represents the month.

Well this is new. A Canadian retailer advertising a price for a Roland product online. I didn't think they were allowed to do that. Could it be that Roland Canada has finally seen the error of their ways?

Looks like Roland Canada found out that Long & McQuade was advertising the price and made them remove it. Now it says "Call for Pricing" like all of the Roland/Boss products. What a stupid, stupid policy! Roland Canada is just encouraging Canadian online shoppers to buy American. And with the Canadian dollar currently at $1.025 US, why not buy American?

I've been dealing a lot with http://www.bhphotovideo.com lately.
They list the br-80 as a special order item for now and
The checkout for the br-80 is:

SubTotal: $299.00
Duties & Tax : $52.38
Shipping: $9.02 (Purlator ground 2-6 days)
Order Total: $360.40

So 360.40$ US  to get it delivered right to your door in Canada.
Why would I bother with Canadian retailers that won't even list the prices.
Which works out to almost the same when you add in Canadian taxes and US exchange rates.
