My father-in-law found an old bike at a flea market, and I sank a few bucks into making it roadworthy.
I wrote this last summer after I had dusted off the bike and taken it for a spin. At the time, I was full of philosophical musings on how much the bike meant to me.
Well, on Saturday I was cleaning out the carport, and I finally got it out again - it was behind a ladder, a card table, a grill, a few hula hoops ... My wife thought I had drunk too much beer to be riding around the neighborhood.

These days, I just write and record a song and move on to the next one. But I have a few like this one - the weird and fun little odds and ends of my life - that I might be interested in doing more with.

Cool live feel to it. That resonator sounds awesome. Great little story too!

I admire your creativity to write songs about ordinary things! This is a good example, again... Well done, thanks for sharing...

cleaning the garage can be a wonderful thing. It certainly led to a cool tune.

How to make the mundane magical, you cracked it on this one Chip but you've also reminded me that with an Easter break coming up I have a job to do. Guess what?  ..............Willie
