Rob

Yes, Rob, the good thing is this one. We have to set apart things, though: the patch I've used here is made of a COSM (guitar + amp + effects) part, PLUS a synth part. Now, with these toys the important thing is to choose the playing technique regard to the the instrument you are emulating.

What I mean: if you try to play guitar connected to a guitar synth in the "normal" way (with a little amount of bends, hammer on etc.) with a patch, for instance, of piano, you'll obtain a ridiculous sound. So at the end to obtain realistic sounds you have to set up properly the guitar synth (it's possible at the highest level) for each sound you want to use. And of course you have also to "think" (and play...) exactly if you are a pianist (no bends at all...), or a trumpet player  (only single notes...) and so on.

If you use only guitar COSM patches instead, you may play guitar exactly as you like it and prefer: in this case you have in your hand a sort of *universal guitar*, and with that you may have any kind of possible guitar sound, thanks to the COSM emulation

The final result? A great fun. And most of the sounds are (to my ears...) very realistic.
