I've stripped the music down to the bare bones simply because i didn't know how to play it but i think it might work although it hasn't got the gusto of the original

Sweet Jeassssus man what a vocal....sometimes stripping the music to bare bones works very well, and in this case it does, it does, it does..................................it does.....................it does.................yeah baby, it really does.  You have put this one back squarely into the smoke-filled roadhouse blues where it came from in the first place.  Deadly

As for our other song, My Way, I am working out how to play it as acoustic fingerpicking, and it is comming along, so that one will get stripped down too, I probably wont get it recorded until the weekend, so tell Elvis to keep his pipes warmed up for that one man.

He is in a stupor at the moment, i think its a bad reaction to some medication Dr Nic gave him he just said "Uhhhh....uuhhh ..." when i told him but he should be ok for the weekend..........Finger-picking sounds good can't wait to hear it ...what was that song by Hawkwind ........Hurry on weekend see what Sunday brings or something like that.......... Cheers Dave

Yes, do tell, what is the secret.....you have some kind of magic sauce.....rub it on your throat before recording vocals......must be some of that Charlie Sheen magic sauce......what kind of mic do you use....compression.......reverb......delay.......come on man give us some tips......

I don't really have a secret for the vocal.... it's Just a bit of magic sauce, i suppose........i use a cheap Behringer C-1 mic (£39) i plug that into a Tascam US-144 usb2.0 Audio/Midi Interface  and then into the computer. I use Logic Pro 9 to record and normally put a bit of Gold Reverb on the voice to bring that bass of the vocal out and  a touch of 1/16 Echo to give it a bit of depth which seems to brighten the vocal a bit. Then double the vocal track up with one track on Stereo and the other on Mono, this seems to round off the voice and then i mess with the levels until i feel it sits nice in the mix....... then get on and talk or sing ..... and there's my secret, i told you it wasn't much of one didn't i, just a bit of magic sauce........Hope that's helped
