Never kept any of them I'm afraid. Just have the memories......like the time I knocked out the PA at a Wishbone Ash gig at the Dome in Brighton as I was sat right in front of the desk and knocked out a lead when I got up to go to the bar. But it was their fault for not securing the leads well enough! At least that's what I said from a safe distance.......

Cheers,

These are great, Rob. Memories worthy of framing. I also love typefaces / fonts and how they've changed over the years (yes... I'm a nerd like that, lol). I probably do have some tickets stashed, but the ones I'd actually want are probably all gone or lost now. I should have a look though.

Some classy looking tickets there.

That must have been one of the last Taste gigs? He was just fulfilling contractual obligations after the Isle of Wight festival. I guess the atmosphere on stage might have been a bit frosty.

Interesting that Chrysalis were promoting Led Zeppelin in 69. I'd either forgotten that or didn't know about it. No surprise they're promoting Jethro Tull - they were a management agency that formed Chrysalis Records as a label for Jethro Tull. (And that's where Rory ended up as well after parting company with Polydor - and Robin Trower, with James Dewar on bass/vocals, for that matter).

I might have some tickets somewhere, I did collect them, but I've no idea where they'd be. Nothing so spectacular/historic as Taste and Led Zeppelin though.

Oh man, the Odeon in Brum....what a venue.... I saw hundreds of bands there, possibly even thousands....
Do you remember the good old days when you'd queue for hours to get yer ticket? They always went on sale on Saturday mornings for the Odeon.... you queued, you got a ticket....the beautiful simplicity of it all. Not like now, where 20,000 seat arenas sell out in 30 seconds or something mad like that, everyone buyin' tickets online with credit cards. Not fair!! We tried to get tickets for Tom Waits' Glitter and Doom Tour a while back.... it was impossible.....I sat at
my laptop, kept tyring to just get in the system, watching in dismay as each venue would in turn flash 'SOLD OUT'.
