John Prine has written tons of songs for others and many musicians have covered his music.

This is magnificent! Beautifully performed and produced, and a real treat to listen to. I don't know the original, but I love this kind of country-tinged, classic songwriting. Is that a real fiddle? I love that pedal steel / fiddle combo... so sweet. And man - you really sing this well. This is one of my favourite songcrafters tracks ever.

last night i was a bit under the influence of the old gabby water, this morning i am listening again in case i was dreaming last night and  i wasnt its as fabulous as i remember,it is even better than i recalled it through the drunken haze of last night.

i saw john prine in glasgow last year and he was still tremendous after all those years, (he was hailed as the new dylan back in the day) i suggest people check out his back catalogue.

mach this is pure bliss to my ears thank you.

Thank you Tim, I'm glad you like it. The fiddle parts are samples and I rearranged them to fit the song. I played the pedal steel bits (with whammy) and slide solo on a Fender JazzMaster.

I haven't been around here very much lately with life, work and all, but I have always enjoyed your music...lot's of great music on the site.

Thanks guys...I put a lot of time into this one trying to get the instrumentation right, but I would like to redo the vocals. My voice seems a bit under pressure at times. Thanks for the listen all.
