moping about the cellar, he was bored, i mean he must have been down here in the cellar now for nearly  40 years...him and Louis used to rip the place up every night, something terrible. But lately he had been a bit down and not even drinking so Elvis and Reg knew it must be bad, so they decided to cheer him up with one of his classics. Not quite the power of the original but still bare in mind that they are getting on bit......... it seemed to do the job......it brought a smile to his lips, the first in a while...............

Cheers Dave.....it is different, but it doesn't have the bite of the original but then again it is Elvis being sentimental..........

Its like when Elvis did his version of "My Way" and really made the song his own about looking back over his life and how he got to where he was....and became such a huge hit just after his death.....well we know it was a staged death now don't we.......as he has been hiding out in the cellar all these years.......does he ever sing that one anymore?   I guess that song takes on new meaning now that we know that it was a staged death......the clues are all around us.......for those with eyes to see......

He would love to have another go at My way Dave, but he lost the arrangement, maybe he needs a new one?.....When Elvis first came down the cellar he had to earn a living as an impersonator, as you can imagine he was the best at it in town...but he had to calm it down as too many people got suspicious......Now he only plays in the cellar....here"s a couple from the Cellar Sessions

I'll do up the music if you can get Elvis to sing it Reg-man....I would love to hear that.  May take me a bit (week or so) to get the music done.....you cellar dwellers up for that.....

what a frigging vocal on "Big Boss Man"........sheeeeet, you are killing me with that vocal.................

Hey, is this footage from the cellar from a few years ago?  Could it be?  I hear there is good evidence to suggest it is indeed the Reg cellar......

I'll just ask Elvis......"Huh!!Huh!!! Baby........oh! Yeh Get big Dave to knock that music together man and I'm  in, I'll be all over it "...... E is definitely up for it. We have just had to call Dr Nick because hes got so excited...............as far as the footage goes ......it could be.

This is all great stuff, but I particuarly enjoyed your dismantling of Soul Kitchen. It's a cracking version of a great song. And I love the effect on the vocal. Is that just an fx patch, or is some complicated production trickery? Every day should be a Doors-fest, lol. I love 'em to bits.

thetworegs

Pleased you enjoyed it.The vocal was just done with an Fx patch a Phone filter.with another Warp Factor as the backing to it. I loved the Doors music  since i first heard them as a teenager........ If only i could play the piano a little better....ah well there's still time.............
