Hi,
This is my first post, a cover of Peter Green's Man of the world.

It's a bit ropey but was a good learning curve, excuse the weak vocals, I'm no singer!

Not ropey at all, sweet cover...your guitar work is excellent.  Your vocals are also excellent.....the whole damn thing is excellent......I love this song....I love early Fleetwood Mac.....great job........what are you going to tackle next.  Really fantastic guitar playing.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

;) Thanks Bluesberry! Its just good to finally get a song on the site after a couple of months of hanging around.
Was thinking of tackling a Pixies cover next. Thought I would try and get a couple of covers under my belt and then move to the serious stuff and try to write something from scratch!

Sweet, Burtog!

Really nice guitar playing, and your vocals are fine. Your voice reminds me a bit of Frank Black, so can't wait to hear the Pixies cover!

I've loved this song from the moment I first heard it. There aren't many songs that are such an obvious cry for help. Peter Green at his most vulnerable and emotional, but with such sweet-toned guitar genius. You've done a stunning job with this. I think the vocals are brilliant, and the guitar is stunning. The mix could be a bit louder and more dynamic, but I'm just nitpicking. The performance though... man, you really nailed it beautifully.

Burtog

Thanks Greeny.

I'm glad you noticed the dynamics and loudness thing, I did feel this was something I found difficult to improve. I didn't do any work outside of the BR800, I didn't take the track to Sonar, that's something else to learn.
Is that something I should look to do??

Any general tips on improving loudness/dynamics/balance would be very much appreciated!!
