The Weaver Man
The cloth has been cut by the weaver man
His thread was his wisdom and words
The brim of his hat worn by lessons in life
His fingers now callous though song

"Slide through this life" says the weaver man
"And let every stage be your church"
"Take your tidings and saviour them"
"Good life doesn't pay for its self"

Sing your life
Hear your song
Sing your life
Hear your song

So maybe I'll see you again for a while
On this day I'll show you the moon
The sun won't outshine the beauty of dark
With all of our friends in this room

A mason has carved you a place in the sky
Where rum flows like smoke from the ruins
Closing time drifts on till everything's said
And the only word left is goodbye

Sing your life
Hear your song
Sing your life
Hear your song

A very upbeat tribute. Lyrics are very good, the mix, with the vox on the right is a bit strange but your vocal performance with that there slight drawl is very cool. Your 3/4 time writing sounds so natural. A robust recording!

Nelson

That was absolutely wonderful.

I love everything about, the write, the performance and the vocals.

A great tribute.

Sorry for the loss, that was a very cool song and I have a feeling he really likes it too.
Reminded me a little of B. Dylan

Wonderful. I love the extreme panning of vox and guitar, normally i don't like that kind of thing but it works really well here. Beautiful chords and guitar sound - Dobro? And real emotion in the words which shines through in a wonderful performance.

I think my life would have been worth living if someone felt moved to write a song about me after I was gone. What a great tribute you created here.

Cheers,

Nigel

Ah. Sorry mate.

Beautiful.
We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Sad news, but you have provided a fitting tribute here.
Tender song, performed with passion and emotion, that can only be conveyed by something as personal as this.
Wonderful lyrics too!
